Mountain Pottery is dedicated to keeping students safe while learning skills in pottery and/or science & STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). In person classes will resume soon. Please stay tuned!
For independent students monthly memberships may be authorized by their school.
In addition to pottery classes, we offer science and STEAM classes. Helen Hixon holds a California teaching credential in Science/Biology and has extensive training in teaching STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math). Contact us for additional information.
During this time of sheltering in place we would like our students to have the option to participate in the Mountain Pottery science and ceramic handbuilding classes from home. We have developed kits for 5 handbuilding projects and 4 science classes that parents will be able to pick up from Mountain Pottery for their children to do at home. Each kit requires the same $25 enrichment certificate from Inspire Charter. Many students have several available to use for the kits.
Once the mandate is lifted students will need additional enrichment certificates to come to Mountain Pottery for glazing classes. Most students are able to glaze 2-3 projects in one 2 hour glazing class depending on the size, complexity and number of colors or techniques used. Glazing classes are $25 each.

Thank you so much for your ongoing support of Mountain Pottery. Stay healthy!
