New Homeschool Class ~ Scgraffitto!

Thursday May 11 at 11am

One time class from 11am-12:15pm.

$45 per student (enrichment certificates from MVA or PCA accepted).

Scgraffitto - "scratch"

Scgraffito is a decoration produced on pottery or ceramics by scratching through a surface to reveal a different color underneath. Participants will select a shape and form a trinket dish using a white clay. They will then brush on a layer of colored underglaze and scratch a design through the colored underglaze. The staff at Mountain Pottery will bisque fire, dip in clear glaze and glaze fire your pieces for you. Dishes are ready for pickup or shipping in about 3-5 weeks.
