Art Alliance of Idyllwild
Mountain Pottery is the "outpost" for the non profit Art Alliance of Idyllwild. As an active member and board member of AAI Helen Hixon is always happy to answer questions about upcoming AAI events and how to get involved. Mountain Pottery is the drop off location for artists who enter their work in AAI judged events and also hosts the AAI board meetings.
Chili Bowls for Charity
Mountain Pottery raises the funds needed for the Idyllwild School's 8th grade tile mural legacy project with the popular chili bowls for charity event held each year at the AAI Summer Kick-off. For a donation, individuals receive a handcrafted ceramic bowl full of delicious homemade chili. Proceeds pay for the materials, glazing and firing of the tiles the local 8th graders paint.

Mountain Pottery routinely makes donations of handcrafted ceramics, pottery classes or gift certificates to many of the wonderful non profit organizations in Idyllwild including the Idyllwild Garden Club, The Historical Society, ARF, the Idyllwild Library, the Community Garden, the fire station, the Soroptomists and more.
